DFA Dairy Brands is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of dairy products, including ice cream!  We are searching for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team!

 The TA Specialist will work to source and screen prospective candidates, including Logistics (CDL drivers) and Manufacturing/Plant Maintenance roles. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with both non-exempt and exempt recruitment, requisition management, have strong sourcing skills, and have utilized ATS systems, such as iCIMS.

Job Description & Requirements

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports Talent Acquisition for various roles within the region.

 

Job Description:  

 

This individual will work with the regional and divisional Human Resources team members on a variety of Talent Acquisition activities. The position will organize and manage projects, logistics, and issues related to the delivery of recruiting programs, provide talent acquisition support, including such activities as requisition management, interview/travel scheduling, job postings, and web resume search. The successful candidate will have effective communication skills, be detail-oriented, flexible, highly organized, collaborative, and professionally persistent.  

 

  • Works with regional and divisional teams to support sourcing, screening and pipeline management activity for various roles.
  • Calibrates with business partners to evaluate core competencies for assigned roles.
  • Sources, screens and presents top talent for identified roles.
  • Understand, educate and identify external talent.
  • Manage the candidate experience by serving as a brand ambassador DFA Dairy Brands.
  • Create candidate pools for hard to fill roles or market areas.
  • Serve as SME (subject matter expert) on sourcing, including but not limited to social media and specialized job boards.
  • Provide insights or market knowledge on trends (focusing on key companies and sourcing options).
  • Coordinates and manages the interview process in partnership with the divisional teams.
  • Manages candidates; experience, interview process and follow up.
  • Monitors and reports on sourcing effectiveness.
  • Proactively manages and organizes sourcing, logistics, scheduling, and reporting for assigned roles.
  • Works proficiently with Applicant Tracking System to accurately track and report on all sourcing activities and associated deliverables.
  • Manage Posting, cross posting and requisition activity.
  • Align sourcing activity with counterparts and/or business partners.
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload to meet deadlines.
  • Communicates with DFA Dairy Brands; leadership and Human Resources regarding status of requisitions.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all information.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Talent Acquisition, HR, or related field preferred.
  • Strong PC and web systems knowledge/acumen (including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments, management levels within the company, and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience using and administering ATS (applicant tracking systems) and/or web recruiting systems is strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of employment law is a plus.
  • Ability to deliver and execute high-quality and consistent Talent Acquisition and Human Resources processes and services.
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
